With funding from the Summit Foundation, PRB is collaborating with Advocates for Youth to provide training and technical assistance to four European, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) working on youth sexual and reproductive health advocacy. The NGOs aim to increase European donors’ overseas development assistance for adolescent reproductive health by working with youth on advocacy campaigns that highlight the problems facing their peers in developing countries. PRB and Advocates for Youth developed the Growing Up Global advocacy kit based on the findings and recommendations of the U.S. National Academies of Science, National Research Council study, Growing Up Global: the Changing Transitions to Adulthood in Developing Countries, published in May 2005.
