Human Population: Fundamentals of Growth and Change, for middle school to college students, focuses on eight elements of population dynamics: population growth and distribution, natural increase, migration, age and sex distribution (population pyramids), urbanization, women, health, and the environment. Charts and graphs supplement each topic with one full-size chart suitable for class distribution or transparencies. Each topic has a series of defined terms and answers to frequently asked questions. City Summit Press Release: An Urbanizing World is a writing activity that asks students to reflect on urban issues from a global and regional perspective in the form of a news brief for a City Summit. Population Projections: World Population Futures

Population Projections: World Population Futures helps answer questions about our future and prepare city planners, economists, public agencies, and environmentalists for what is to come. This activity complements PRB's Population Bulletin, "World Population Futures." Students will practice making population projections for the United States and evaluate the results of different population scenarios. (2002)
