(February 2009)The New Vision, Uganda’s largest newspaper, marked International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting on Feb. 6, 2009, with a four-page supplement to raise awareness of the practice in the country. The project supervisor, Catherine Mwesigwa, is features editor of the newspaper and a member of PRB’s Women’s Edition journalist network that strives to increase coverage of reproductive health issues in developing countries.
