(May 2011) Andrew London and Janet Wilmoth are professors of sociology at Syracuse University and research affiliates of the Syracuse University Center for Aging and Policy Studies. Janet Wilmoth serves as director of the University Gerontology Center, and Andrew London is currently chair of the Sociology Department. Wilmoth and London lead a research project on “Military Service and Men’s Health Trajectories in Later Life,” supported by the National Institutes on Aging. A recent article in the Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences presents some findings from this research project. In this interview, Wilmoth and London discuss their research on links between military service and health later in life.
