Population Reference Bureau is developing a multimedia presentation that shares a roadmap on:
- How to better realize the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and young people with disabilities.
- How to better prevent and respond to gender-based violence against women and young people with disabilities.
As part of this compelling multimedia presentation, we would like to collect audio or video testimonials from women and young people with disabilities from a variety of settings and with diverse lived experiences. These testimonials, combined with available data, will be used in the presentation to catalyze momentum and action among global, regional, and country stakeholders, which include state and non-state actors, youth, donors, disabled persons organizations, and civil society organizations.
By highlighting the voices of women and young people with disabilities, this presentation will serve as a platform for people with disabilities to be agents of change, communicate directly with decisionmakers, and reaffirm their rights.
Testimonials are due by Aug. 28, 2019 and can be uploaded here. Video testimonials or responses to questions can be shared in sign language, if desired. Testimonials should be no more than five minutes in length and must be submitted in English.
