Sara Srygley joined PRB in 2022 as a research analyst in U.S. Programs. Her interests include demographic trends and neighborhood built/spatial environments, child well-being and the child welfare system, and equity in resource accessibility. Srygley began her career working for several years in the child welfare system and later worked at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research in the Survey Research Center and at the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research. She has also contracted with the Southeast Michigan Criminal Justice Policy Research Project and the Ann Arbor Police Oversight Committee for an equity analysis of local traffic stop data.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in family studies and women and gender studies and a master’s degree in sociology with a focus on applied research methodology.
