Tess Mpoyi

Former Senior Policy Advisor

Tess E. Mpoyi was a senior policy advisor in International Programs at PRB, where she championed approaches that place equity and agency for women and youth at the center of climate change adaptation and resilience. Tess has over 11 years of experience supporting innovative, locally driven solutions for women’s rights and the environment. These include managing women’s reproductive justice programs across Africa with Ipas (and launching the organization’s climate justice program), co-founding a climate change adaptation initiative for Small Island Developing States at UNESCO, and working in community-based youth development as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. She has extensive work experience in low- and middle-income countries, including in Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ghana, South Africa, Thailand, and Zambia. Tess holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Middlebury College and speaks French, Portuguese, Italian, and Thai.
