Associate Vice President

Expertise: Country and regional partnerships, family planning policy and programs, health system strengthening, reproductive health

Laura Wedeen is associate vice president in International Programs, driving expansion of PRB’s country and regionally facing work through strategic partnerships and new business development. Wedeen also serves as the PACE project’s senior deputy director for field programs. She brings more than 25 years of global public health experience to the job, including 18 years of overseas-based program leadership and management in the reproductive health sector. In addition to reproductive health and youth policy and programming, she brings technical expertise in health systems strengthening. Wedeen has held long-term positions based in Haiti, Nepal, and Vietnam, and has worked across numerous countries in Africa and Asia.
