Thank You for Supporting Data—No Matter What

A letter from President and CEO Jennifer D. Sciubba on Giving Tuesday

Dear friend of PRB,

With PRB recently turning 95, I’ve been reflecting on the history we’ve seen over the years, and the political, economic, and social storms we’ve weathered—from the stock market crash right after our founding in 1929, through war and peace, boom times and depressions, togetherness and divisiveness. Through 16 U.S. presidencies representing both sides of the aisle, PRB has endured—thanks, in no small part, to your support.

Our work is the product of deep expertise—not just instinct. For nearly a century, PRB’s leadership has ensured that our data and analyses are both relevant to the real world and well vetted, grounded in evidence and rigorously reviewed.

Wherever someone wants to use evidence to improve people’s lives, we’re there. In Malawi, we supported 300 youth journalists to use radio programs to start a community conversation around child marriage, inspiring citizens to fight for new bylaws against the harmful practice. At the U.S. Capitol, we moderated a discussion among leading researchers on the latest data and potential policy solutions to end maternal mortality in the United States.

Whenever a voice of reason is needed, we’re there too. As politicians and media raised the alarm over falling birth rates in the United States, we took to the airwaves with a facts-based analysis focused on solutions, not problems.

Work like this is our mission, and it always matters. Your donation today will help us continue this work for the next 95 years, whatever they may bring. Because the data matter—no matter what.

Donate today

Sincerely,

Jennifer D. Sciubba
President and CEO, PRB
