Our Impact
Our partnerships turn data into decisions that change lives—for the better.

At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful belief: Data should serve people.
Through strategic partnerships across government, research, philanthropy, and advocacy, we transform information into impact by guiding policies that improve lives, illuminate hidden needs, and elevate unheard voices. From forecasting housing demand in California to briefing U.S. lawmakers on maternal health, we ensure that decisions are grounded in evidence and driven by equity.
Planning for Real People’s Lives, Not Just Populations
- Helped Southern California forecast housing, transportation, and healthcare needs based on where people are going and not just where they’ve been.
- Worked with the Appalachian Regional Commission to uncover population trends and health disparities, guiding smarter investment in overlooked communities.
- Measured the economic value of women’s unpaid care work across five countries so that policies stop treating it as invisible labor.
Helping Data Move Policy
- Briefed U.S. lawmakers on the maternal health crisis, turning data into urgency and action.
- Partnered with AARP to evaluate how well communities serve people across the life course, from young families to older adults.
- Supported advocates in 13 countries to generate 57 new policy and funding commitments for family planning in just five years.
Raising Voices That Drive Change
- Helped youth in northern Nigeria launch an award-winning podcast to shift the conversation around child marriage.
- Trained young people in Malawi to use radio to ignite dialogue on gender violence, child marriage, and mental health.
- Built policy communications programs across East and West Africa that help experts become advocates who influence real-world decisions.
Protecting the Public’s Right to Know
- Convened 7,000+ data users to strengthen how communities use the American Community Survey for local decision-making.
- Created the Federal Data Forum to help researchers and institutions protect public datasets and navigate threats to data access.
