Expertise: Knowledge management
Maia Johnstone is a policy advisor in International Programs. She joined PRB in the summer of 2020. Through various professional, educational, and volunteer experiences, Johnstone gained experience in program coordination, grants management, research, and peer education. Her areas of focus include knowledge management, family planning, gender, and social and behavior change. Prior to joining PRB, she coordinated the early childhood development program at Grand Challenges Canada, a global health innovation organization. During her graduate degree, she completed internships at Jhpiego and at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Communication Programs in Senegal. Johnstone holds master’s degrees in public health and international affairs, both from Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
