Robert Crosnoe

Rapoport Centennial Professor of Liberal Arts, University of Texas at Austin

Currently the Rapoport Centennial Professor of Liberal Arts at Texas, Robert Crosnoe has appointments in the Department of Sociology, Population Research Center, and Department of Psychology and previously served as the Senior Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and the Chair of the Department of Sociology.  He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Stanford University and completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Carolina Population Center and the Center for Developmental Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His main research areas are human development, education, family, and health with a specific interest in the experiences of children, adolescents, and young adults and how they are stratified by their families’ socioeconomic circumstances and migration histories.
