Viresh Desai is chief financial officer of PRB. Prior to joining PRB, he was vice president of finance for Development & Training Services (dTS), a government contractor that provides technical assistance to the U.S. Agency for International Development in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, capacity development and learning, and gender and social inclusion. From 2008 to 2013, Desai was chief financial officer at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and from 2004 to 2008, he was vice president and chief financial officer of the International Science & Technology Institute, a privately held for-profit company that provides assistance to developing countries through technical, managerial, and financial expertise. He also has served as vice president and chief financial officer at Helen Keller International, the oldest international nonprofit organization devoted to fighting and treating preventable blindness and malnutrition; and John Snow, Inc., an international health consulting firm. During his career, Desai has trained staff and audited field financial activities in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and parts of Europe. Desai holds a master of business administration from The George Washington University with a specialization in finance and investments. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bombay in production engineering.
