Join Our Campaign to Stand With Data
Federal funding cuts endanger some of PRB's most popular and enduring resources, as well as our work to support data literacy, access, and integrity.
Dear friend of PRB,
If you’re following the news, you probably know that the landscape of government funding in the United States is undergoing a historic—and in many cases, destabilizing—shift. What you might not know is that this new reality puts some of PRB’s most important work at risk.
Federal funding cuts endanger some of our most popular and enduring resources, like the World Population Data Sheet (funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development) and the Population Bulletin series. Many activities we do to advance our mission—supporting the use of evidence in policy, translating research for the public, training researchers and journalists, supporting data user communities, and defending data access and integrity—are also on the line.
PRB remains a strong partner to many foundations that support crucial project work, and for this we are extremely grateful. But this unanticipated loss of funding limits our ability to be the data advocate you know us to be—at a time when the world most desperately needs it. So we’re asking for your help.
Your tax-deductible donation could be the dollar that helps us:
- reach one more classroom with the World Population Data Sheet
- train one more journalist to use data in their reporting
- hold one more webinar to bring crucial evidence to the public
- create one more publication that translates complex research into actionable insights
- build one more bridge between data users
- help one more researcher communicate their findings
- dispel one more myth about population science in the media
- make one more effort to center evidence in policy
Thank you for your continued support, and thank you for standing with PRB as we #StandWithData.

Sincerely,

Jennifer D. Sciubba
President and CEO, PRB
