PRB Appoints Bobby Jefferson to Its Board of Trustees

WASHINGTON, October 27, 2022—PRB today announced the appointment of Bobby Jefferson to its Board of Trustees.

Jefferson is global head of diversity, equity, engagement and inclusion at DAI, a company that works with communities, governments and businesses to tackle fundamental social and economic development problems across the globe.

A technology and global development expert, Jefferson has nearly 20 years of experience using digital solutions to address the health needs of low-income and vulnerable families and communities and other social development issues. He previously served as vice president and chief technology officer for DAI Global Health, helping to establish DAI’s successful digital and global health teams. Before joining DAI, he was vice president for innovation and technology at Palladium, where his teams supported country-wide health information systems for emerging markets and provided innovative solutions to resource-constrained health facilities.

“Bobby brings to PRB a commitment to racial and social justice, an entrepreneurial approach to tackling social issues and deep expertise in technology and data analytics. We welcome him to our Board of Trustees as we explore new opportunities for the organization,” said Jennifer Madans, chair of PRB’s Board of Trustees.

Jefferson currently serves on the board of directors of the Society for International Development-US (SID-US); co-chairs the new diversity, equity and inclusion committee of the Council of International Development Companies; and participates in British Expertise International’s working group on equity, diversity and inclusion. He is also a board member and adviser for enterprises including THINKMD, ClickMedix, DataElevates, CoVelocity, Simprints, the Mentor Capital Network and the gBeta MedTech Black Founders Accelerator program, where he mentors Black entrepreneurs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science at American University.

“Bobby’s experience and insights will be invaluable as PRB accelerates its work with diverse communities globally and we look forward to working with him,” PRB President and CEO Jeff Jordan said. “We also say farewell to board members Alaka Basu and David Finn, who will be rotating off after serving two consecutive terms. We are grateful to have had the benefit of their experience and wisdom over the past six years and are delighted they will remain part of the extended PRB family.”
